How this was born
I met Jackie Reeves in Portland, Oregon, while I was assisting my teacher Gary Kraftsow during one of his workshops, about 7 years ago.
Last February Jackie and I were happily surprised to meet again at a retreat with our mutual teacher, Baxter Bell.
It has been incredible to reconnect with Jackie.
I am very happy and honored to announce that she is inviting me to host a retreat at her beautiful Yoga Studio/Oasis/Sanctuary "Yoga Garden", in Los Barriles, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
It's a joy to bring a group of people to her precious space, and have the chance to visit again the very cool and unique Los Barriles, with its wide beach, vast skies, beautiful sunrises and friendly people.

About
My journey
I love that yoga has helped me to be a friend to myself, to forgive my mistakes more often, to learn from them, and to be compassionate and patient with myself. I love that practicing yoga helps me to see things differently, to think differently, to be happier.
On the other hand I love to teach. I began teaching dance when I was 19 years old, then yoga when I was 31, and as I grow older (I'm 60 now) I enjoy it more and more!
A few things I enjoy from teaching are connection, community and to see how people grow and evolve into the best version of themselves.

Jackie and her Yoga Garden
Jackie takes personal care of her garden, and created such a welcoming space at her studio, always paying attention to detail. All this was built by her partner, Matt.
She has been teaching and practicing yoga for half a century and this shows in the way she loves the space, her plants and her community

A yoga space that is just gorgeous
Yoga Garden has an incredible feel into it, it is such an amazing space and welcoming space.
Jackie and Matt have created there an oasis, where one sees beauty everywhere, in the design of the garden itself, in the spacious yoga room, in every detail. all seems to be a reminder of self care, peace, self study, going inward and doing the deep work of yoga and life with grace.
