LEARNING TO FLY
In gold touched movements
All but still,
Many skins are shed.
Cocoons hang from their silken threads,
And wing patterns become visible.
Thousands of scales
In a palate of perfection
Push through transparency:
The chrysalis opens to beauty.
Delicate angels
Spread gossamer wings
Preparing to meet the world.
