"Kiss The Earth", by Tich Nhat Hanh

Last week I mentioned this quotation in class:

"Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet"

And here is this beautiful poem by Tich Nhat Hanh:

Kiss the Earth

Walk and touch peace every moment.

Walk and touch happiness every moment.

Each step brings a fresh breeze.

Each step makes a flower bloom.

Kiss the Earth with your feet.

Bring the Earth your love and happiness.

The Earth will be safe

when we feel safe in ourselves.

- Tich Nhat Hanh

And this beautiful quote:

“There is no need to run, strive, search or struggle. Just be. Just being in the moment in this place is the deepest practice of meditation. Most people cannot believe that just walking as if you have nowhere to go is enough.”
